ISEN Ouest’s Erasmus+ strategy

ISEN Ouest is fully committed to the Erasmus+ 2021–2027 programme through a strategy built around the major European priorities: inclusion and diversity, digital transformation, sustainable development, and European citizenship.

We consider international mobility to be an essential part of engineering education and offer our students the opportunity to study abroad in their 2nd and 4th years. These mobility experiences enable them to develop the technical, interpersonal, and intercultural skills that are essential in a globalised professional environment. The Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur (CTI) also highlights the vital importance of international exposure in engineering programs.

A mobility experience accessible to all

Equal opportunity is at the heart of our commitment. We strive to make Erasmus+ mobility accessible to all our students for study and internship mobility, and to our staff for teaching and training mobility. We pay particular attention to those with fewer opportunities, whether due to their social or economic circumstances (students receiving CROUS grants at levels 6 and 7), geographical background, disability, or long-term health conditions.

Support is provided at every stage of the mobility project, from preparation to the stay abroad and recognition of the experience, in order to ensure the best possible conditions for success.

Enhanced support for specific needs

Students with disabilities or long-term health conditions benefit from personalised support and tailored arrangements. Through the Erasmus+ programme, additional funding of up to €250 extra per month may be granted to help cover mobility-related specific needs such as adapted accommodation, personal assistance, equipment, medical follow-up, and more.

Additional financial support may also be granted to students from more modest backgrounds to help them prepare for their stay abroad.

Selection criteria for KA131 (mobility within Programme Countries):

  • Disability
  • Long-term health condition
  • CROUS grant holder at levels 6 or 7
  • Parental address located in a municipality classified as a Zone France Ruralités Revitalisation (ZFRR)

Training responsible and committed engineers

Our Erasmus+ strategy is part of a broader commitment to responsibility:

  • integrating sustainable development challenges into our approach, through more responsible mobility and environmental awareness;
  • using digital tools to enrich learning experiences;
  • promoting European values, intercultural openness, and civic engagement.

A rewarding international experience

Through Erasmus+, ISEN Ouest gives its students, thanks to a network of partners across Europe, the opportunity to enjoy a unique, enriching, and inclusive international experience that supports their professional integration and strengthens their ability to innovate in an international environment.
