Apprenticeship tax 2025

The apprenticeship tax is a contribution paid by companies to help fund apprenticeships and support the development of technological and vocational training programs in France.

Since 2023, companies benefit from a simplified process:

  • One collector: The URSSAF and MSA now collect both the main share (87%) and the remaining balance (13%) — no more direct payments to OPCOs or schools.
  • One declaration: The tax is calculated based on your 2025 payroll and declared through the Nominative Social Declaration (DSN) for April 2025. It is due by April 5 or 15, 2025.
  • One step for allocation: Companies can easily allocate their tax balance via SOLTéA New window (managed by the French Public Investment Bank – CDC). From May 26 to October 24, 2025, you choose your beneficiary directly on this platform.

How does it work?

Submit your declaration and pay the apprenticeship tax balance to URSSAF or MSA via the April 2025 DSN.

Why support ISEN Yncréa Ouest?

A school committed to a sustainable and inclusive future

L'événement Elles et Tech organisé par l'ISEN Ouest

ISEN Ouest places social responsibility at the core of its growth strategy, convinced that technology must go hand in hand with its human and environmental impact. Through its structured CSR policy, the school actively promotes sustainable development — integrating climate and environmental issues into its training and research — and fosters a more inclusive society, with a strong focus on encouraging women in STEM and engineering careers. Initiatives like Elles&Tech and our strong commitment to gender equality show this in action. Our programs prepare future engineers to consider ethical, social, and environmental challenges in their professional practice. This practical, optimistic approach makes technology a powerful tool for tackling today’s biggest challenges.

Artificial intelligence: at the heart of ISEN Ouest’s strategy

DP Intelligence Artificielle ISEN Ouest

As artificial intelligence (AI) transforms our world, it has become a key pillar of our scientific and educational strategy. Supported by LabISEN, our leading research lab, our AI development covers a wide range of areas: deep learning, computer vision, image and signal processing, embedded AI, and low-energy AI. These fields address major technological and societal challenges in cybersecurity, the factory of the future, healthcare, and more. At the same time, AI is fully integrated into our training: starting in Year 3, students lead AI projects using advanced tools and developing their innovation skills. This strong link between cutting-edge research and high-quality teaching shapes engineers ready to drive the digital transition.

A strategic vision to become the leading post-secondary engineering school in Western France

ISEN Ouest - Campus de Caen

With campuses in Brest, Nantes, Caen, and Paris, ISEN Ouest aims to become the leading post-baccalaureate engineering school in the Grand Ouest region. Our strategy is based on steady growth, strong local roots, and a continuously expanding range of programs focused on digital, energy, and environmental transitions. Our 2022–2027 strategic plan, adopted by our Board of Directors, aims to strengthen academic and industry partnerships, support top-level research, and train more engineers who are skilled, curious, and socially responsible. By supporting ISEN Ouest through the apprenticeship tax, companies become part of this momentum and actively contribute to the future of innovation in their region.

You can allocate your tax to one or several ISEN Yncréa Ouest campuses.

URSSAF or MSA records your payment and keeps proof of it.
This means you are fully up to date with your contributions.
As a result, the schools you support are not required to issue an additional payment certificate.

It is now possible not to choose a beneficiary for your tax balance.
In this case, your payment will go into a general fund, which is then redistributed to eligible institutions by the local prefectures.

However, by not choosing, you miss out on the chance to:

  • Support an institution you know and trust
  • Strengthen partnerships with a school or training center
  • Promote a training program or degree you value
  • Plan ahead for your employees’ future training needs
  • Invest in programs that are better aligned with your sector’s needs
