ISEN Ouest has recently formalized a new partnership with the French Air and Space Force (Armée de l’Air et de l’Espace – AAE), in the presence of Captain Yannick Abram, Lieutenant William Pineau, and Lieutenant Marie-Constance Baugier.
The agreement, signed on campus, reflects ISEN Ouest’s commitment to offering its students access to fields of technical excellence that are both meaningful and forward-looking.
A partnership serving education and citizenship
This collaboration aims to raise students’ awareness of the realities of professional life while introducing them to a demanding and highly specialized environment — military aeronautical maintenance.
Through this agreement, students will gain insight into the missions, careers, and values upheld by the Air and Space Force, as well as its vital role within the French armed forces.
Beyond its technical dimension, the partnership also seeks to promote essential values such as commitment, discipline, solidarity, and civic responsibility — principles that ISEN Ouest fully integrates into its educational approach and the development of its future engineers.
Concrete actions bridging two worlds
The agreement includes several joint initiatives to be implemented throughout the academic year:
- Regular meetings between students and representatives from the Air Bureau of the CIRFA, to present career opportunities within the Air and Space Force.
- Conferences and talks led by AAE personnel on topics such as maintenance, technological innovation, and engineering training.
- Internship and work-study opportunities for students in relevant programs, depending on the operational availability of air units.
- Participation in career fairs and recruitment events, helping students prepare to enter a demanding and stimulating professional environment.
The AAE will also inform students about the Specific Training Financial Allowance (AFSF), a funding program that provides financial support to eligible students in exchange for a post-graduation commitment to join the Air and Space Force.

A forward-looking partnership
For ISEN Ouest, it represents an opportunity to offer students direct exposure to the aeronautics and defense sectors — domains where technology, discipline, and excellence come together.
